Joloo by Icare, telematics application dedicated to road safety and vehicle maintenance.
Joloo by Icare is a telematics driving analysis tool that uses only smartphone sensors to calculate indicators reflecting your driving behavior. The application offers users the opportunity to adopt good behaviors on the road to limit their carbon impact and their risk of accidents or breakdowns via coaching tools. Users can also compare themselves directly to other users and participate in driving challenges.
FUNCTIONING
The application automatically detects motorized journeys without action on the part of the driver. It collects driving data and provides the driver with an analysis of each journey taken and statistics to monitor their progress. The application returns two types of scores in particular:
a safety score: which expresses driving safety by analyzing the dynamic behavior of the vehicle on the road;
a distraction score (phone use while driving): which measures interactions with the smartphone while driving.
An eco-driving score: which measures the optimization of energy consumption made during a journey.
ROAD PREVENTION VIA THE SMARTPHONE
We do not claim to replace face-to-face training and other road safety measures. On the other hand, we are convinced of the effectiveness of this technology as a complement to protecting employees in a simple and fun way, by making them aware of good practices on the roads. The assessment of driving behavior is exhaustive, impartial, and allows each driver to take stock in real conditions of the risks they may be required to take.
